If the game has a sequel, the typical release window for it, taking into account production, would be two to three years after release, limiting the availability of DLCs. This effectively indicates that either the game will receive a sequel and Shadow of the Erdtree will be its sole DLC, with a size equivalent to or even larger than the Bloodborne DLC, or it will not receive a sequel and Shadow of the Erdtree will be the first of several DLC releases in the future.
